Jodi Bova-Mele
(She/her -Choreographer) is delighted to be working with the Baldwinsville Theatre Arts Program, having previously choreographed Little Women, Mary Poppins, Shrek and Cinderella. She has choreographed numerous shows for area high schools and theater companies over the years. Recent theater credits include Damn Yankees, Pippin, Spring Awakening and Cabaret (Choreographer) for Syracuse Summer Theatre at the On Center, Independence (Kess) for Breadcrumbs Productions, A Chorus Line (Lori) for Baldwinsville Theater Guild, and Lizzie Borden Took an Axe (Lizzie) for Covey Theatre Company. Jodi works as an audiologist at HearingLife, and is also the mother of two amazing boys.
Steve Young (he/him - Set Construction) loves making the "magic" happen on stage with creative set designs. He is often heard saying “Overdone is underrated” and can be caught singing as he works in the shop. He previously has worked on several productions with BTAP such as Mary Poppins, Lion King Jr. Peter Pan, James and the Giant Peach, Shrek the Musical, Cinderella, and Moana Jr.
Paula Pickreign (she/they - Technical Director) was born and raised in the Syracuse area but has spent the last better part of a decade working in professional theater in Manhattan as a technical director, lighting designer, and sound designer. At the onset of the pandemic Paula returned to the Syracuse area and is now the Theater Manager at Baker High School, getting to share her technical theater passions with a fantastic and enthusiastic group of students! Paula also spends school breaks working in theater in Manhattan and also still actively tours internationally with 'Broadway's Next Hit Musical.' Paula is excited to work with all of these amazing young theater artists and so incredibly lucky to be a part of the best production team she could ever dream of being a part of.
Amy Lynch (She/her Scenic Director)
did scenery for the Reynolds Elementary production of the Wizard of OZ and costumes for Once Upon a Mattress at Durgee. She was a scenic helper for Shrek and White Christmas and was then promoted to Scenic Director for Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Lion King and Little Women. She has been doing faux finishes and murals for 10 years and was a member of IDAL (International Decorative Artisans League).
Andrea Calarco
(she/her - Costumer) Upon graduating from Columbia University with a degree in Music, Andrea worked in the NYC theater/music worlds earning membership in Actors’ Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild. After some time at home raising her children, she turned her efforts to music education/outreach, serving as President of the Board of The Diller-Quaile School of Music (NYC). Since moving to CNY in 2009, Andrea has concentrated on costuming and/or running wardrobe for numerous theaters/groups including Redhouse Arts Center, Front Row Players, Syracuse Children’s Theatre, and Symphoria. In 2020, she received two nominations for SALT costume awards for shows with the Baldwinsville Theatre Guild. In addition, Andrea serves on the Manlius Senior Activity Centre where she focuses on fundraising.
